The International Bhat Sikh Council (the Council) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation

National location of principal office The principal office of the Council is in 120 St Marks Road, Bristol, BS5 6JD.

Objects

Objects The objects of the Council are:

a) Promote good citizenship, mutual understanding and harmony in a multiracial society, fully co-operating and assisting other voluntary organisations established for the attainment of this objective;

b) To promote Sikh culture and values;

c) To hold functions and congregations to celebrate the Sikh faith;

d) To provide various facilities for the elderly and the young in the community, encouraging social, welfare and recreational activities;

e) Promote, share common values of peace and tolerance with all community groups, and appreciating different faiths and cultures;

f) To develop an encyclopedia on the history of the Bhat Sikh.

g) To provide financial support for the education of poor people in the UK and India together with relevant supplies.

h) To provide financial support for the marriage ceremony for poor girls in the UK and India. i) To provide financial support for widows in the UK and India.

 

Nothing in this constitution shall authorize an application of the property of the Council for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008]
